我认为：美国市场似乎在庆祝它从2008/2009次贷危机以来所恢复的程度。至少，今早收盘时还是一个正数。但是，道琼斯已有疲弱的迹象，指标也显示它将在接下来几天内下滑。请小心。若道琼斯今晚能在10,532 以上收盘的话，就表示还有上升的可能性。

新加坡

新加坡海峡指数昨天跳高开盘，然后上升至2839.54点收盘。起了+4.97点。新加坡今早会跳高开盘。它目前的支撑线是2782。

新加坡股市昨天横摆地很厉害，而今天应该还会一样。今天会有可能市场会走向横摆或下滑。若海指能够维持在2831以上，就会有上升的可能性。

建议：目前个别股票的表现并不一致。有些在上，有些在下滑。接下来几天请留意个别股票的套利活动。若您还想买入股票的话，为了降低风险，请买入较少的数量。

Dow Jones went up this morning by +11.86 points, and closed at 10,564.38. Singapore market would gap up when open. The movement of the individual counters would be dependent on the market movement later in the day, so please take note of the regional market movement as reference.

US

This morning, Dow ended in a choppy session with the market climbing up in the early stages, but dropping after lunch. In addition, investors are being cautious in view of the reports coming out later in the week, as stated below. 

The technical Support is currently at 10,542.50.

Economic data coming out this week:

Mar 11 – Initial claims (Expected 445,000)

Mar 11 – Continuing claims (Expected 4,550,000)

Mar 11 – Trade balance (expected -US$37.2b)

Mar 12 – Retail Sales (expected -0.2%)

My thoughts: It seems that the investors are indeed celebrating how far the US market has recovered since the 2008/2009 subprime crisis, by ensuring the market stays positive. On the other hand, Dow is starting to look weak, with the indicators showing signs of dropping within the next 2 – 3 days. Please be careful. If Dow can close above 10,532 tonight, there will be more upside.

Singapore

Yesterday STI gapped up and later closed +4.97 at 2839.54. STI would gap up when open this morning. Its current support is at 2782.

STI had a choppy session yesterday, and there is likely to be more of that today. There is a chance that the market will either move sideways or drop a little today. If STI can maintain above 2831, there will be more upside.

Suggestion: Currently, the individual stocks are mixed in performance. Do standby for profit taking that will be coming within these few days. If you still want to enter a long position, please enter with lesser volume to be safe.

今天凌晨，美国股市没有太大的变化。主要是因为今天是道指这几年来最低点的1周年纪念日。(注：2009年3月9日，道琼斯以6547.05收盘。这个是自1997年以来的最低点。好消息是：从2009年3月10日起直到今天，它已起回400点。) 同时，投资者正在小心关注这个星期出炉的经济报告。

道琼斯的技术支撑线是在10,396。

在跳高并强力上升后，新加坡市场今天会有较多套利的可能性。若海指能够维持在2825以上，就会有上升的可能性。

Dow Jones dropped this morning by -13.68 points, and closed at 10,552.52. Singapore market would open approximately at yesterday’s closing price. The movement of the individual counters would be dependent on the market movement later in the day, so please take note of the regional market movement as reference.

US

This morning we see that there is not much changes in Dow, as many are watching for the one year anniversary for the lowest point in March for Dow today. (Fact: On 9 March 2009, Dow closes at a low of 6547.05. This was the lowest level since 1997. The good news is Dow started to climb back on 10 March 2009 and gained back 400 points soince then) In addition, investors are being cautious in view of the reports coming out later in the week, as stated below.  

The technical Support is currently at 10,396.

My thoughts: There seem to be some support for Dow, as the profit taking did not result in it coming down a lot. Since tonight is the anniversary, I got a feeling that there may be a little bit more upside as investors will celebrate how far they’ve come and thus support or even push up Dow slightly. If Dow can close above 10,502 tonight, there will be more upside.

Singapore

Yesterday STI gapped up and later closed +44.28 at 2834.57. STI would open the same level as yesterday’s closing today. Its current support is at 2782.

Since STI has gapped up and moved strongly up yesterday, there is likely to be a bit more profit taking than upside in general. If STI can maintain above 2825, there will be more upside.

Suggestion: Look out for some profit taking today on those that have gapped up a lot. Currently, the individual stocks are mixed in performance. Some are moving up, while some are losing ground. Do standby for profit taking that will be coming within these few days.

Dow Jones went up this morning by +122.06 points, and closed at 10,566.20. Singapore market would gap up when open. The movement of the individual counters would be dependent on the market movement later in the day, so please take note of the regional market movement as reference.

US

Saturday morning sees Dow doing a triple digit rise in view of the better than expected unemployment rate. Actual figure is 9.7% as compared to a previously expected 10%. This lead to a lot of investors jumping into the market and thus, pushed up the prices.

The technical Support is currently at 10,396.

Economic data coming out this week:

Mar 11 – Initial claims (Expected 445,000)

Mar 11 – Continuing claims (Expected 4,550,000)

Mar 11 – Trade balance (expected -US$37.2b)

Mar 12 – Retail Sales (expected -0.2%)

My thoughts: With Dow closing above the 10,413.70 level (which I mentioned on Friday morning), there will be further upside to Dow. However, we will see some profit taking on Monday first. If Dow can close above 10,494 on Monday night, there will be more upside.

Singapore

On Friday, STI gapped up and later closed +21.59 at 2790.29. STI would gap up when open today. Its current support is at 2767.

After gapping up, STI is likely to be a little profit taking followed by more upside. If STI can maintain above 2791, there will be more upside. If it drops below 2786.50, please be careful.

Suggestion: Seems that my feeling is correct. Dow did go up nicely on Sat morning. Look out for some profit taking today on those that have gapped up a lot. Currently, the individual stocks are mixed in performance. Some are moving up, while some are losing ground. I would suggest you only enter counters that have broken above their resistance and do nothing for counters that are still moving sideways for the time being.

Dow Jones went up this morning by +47.38 points, and closed at 10,444.14. Singapore market would gap up when open. The movement of the individual counters would be dependent on the market movement later in the day, so please take note of the regional market movement as reference.

US

This morning, Dow was volatile and but finally went up later in view of the positive job reports.

The technical Support is currently at 10,326.

Economic data coming out this week:

Mar 4 – Initial claims (Expected 515,000). Actual: 469,000

Mar 4 – Continuing claims (Expected 4,600,000). Actual: 4,500,000

Mar 5 – Unemployment rate (expected 10%)

My thoughts: US stock market will be volatile based on the big report of unemployment rate. Based on technical analysis, the market will be volatile tonight also. If Dow can close above 10,413.70 tonight, there will be more upside. If not, there is a good chance that it will drop.

Singapore

Yesterday STI gapped up and came down later to close -14.09 at 2768.70. STI would gap up when open today. Its current support is at 2767.

After gapping up, STI is likely to be drop a little first today, so please be careful. As today is Friday, we can expect some profit taking in the late afternoon.

Suggestion: Currently, the individual stocks are mixed in performance. Some are moving up, while some are losing ground. I would suggest caution, and please try not to take unnecessary risks during this period. Although the indicators are not showing it, I got a feeling that Dow’s Unemployment rate tonight will beat expectation. Hence there is a good possibility that Dow will be positive tonight, which will result in Asia gapping up on Monday. If you want to take a risk, you might want to consider holding onto lesser lottages to be safe. If not, there is nothing wrong getting out of the market today and fight again next week.
